Dr. Edward Miguel, MA, EdD, BCBA, has dedicated his career to serving students and individuals with disabilities. He has worked in domestic violence shelters, residential treatment centers, group homes, and non-public schools. Currently, he serves as the President and CEO of Port View Preparatory Schools, overseeing two campuses in Orange and San Bernardino Counties. In addition to running one of the best non-public schools in the country, Dr. Miguel spends his time advocating for students with special needs, including pursuing changes at the governmental level. Dr. Miguel faced disabilities as a child after a childhood illness but recovered with the help of dedicated professionals in this field, motivating him to dedicate his life to this work.

Melaura Erickson Tomaino

Dr. Melaura Erickson Tomaino, PhD, BCBA-D, is dedicated to educating individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities. She received her BS in Psychology from UCLA in 2002 and a Ph.D in Developmental Psychology from CGU in 2011. She was certified as a BCBA-D in 2010 and received her license in Clinical Psychology in 2017. She has worked as an Interventionist, Behavior Supervisor, and Clinical Director in home and school settings. Dr. Tomaino serves as the CCO of Port View Preparatory Schools overseeing campuses in Orange and San Bernardino Counties. She has published and presented her extensive research in ASD in various professional forums and has taught undergraduate and graduate level courses at Azusa Pacific University and the Claremont schools. Dr. Tomaino brings an extensive knowledge base to her work as well as a true love and passion for the individuals she serves.
